July 2018 – for USA!

We’re celebrating holidays to USA on Wednesday 04 July! Most especially the freedom of the open road – just imagine, you and the horizon – and everything you need in your Motorhome – have you always wanted to be a free spirit? Worried it may be cramped? Difficult to drive? You could be pleasantly surprised – come and try it for yourself – we will have our own Cruise America Motorhome parked outside on July 4th – come and take a seat, try the cockpit, look at the spacious inside …

In the evening at 6pm we will open a chilled California Chardonnay and present you with a whole array of holidays in America – from Heritage, to National Parks, exciting cities, music tours, Alaskan cruises and yes, even Disney!

On Tuesday 31 July we are taking you to the Last Frontier – North! To Alaska
We are going to show you all of the “must-sees”

Denali National Park and Preserve: This is one of the most iconic National Parks of the United States. It is home to over six million acres to explore as well as North America’s tallest peak – Denali. Visitors can head into the park on a guided bus tour for a chance to see a variety of wildlife.

The Arctic: This is in the northernmost part of Alaska and visitors to this region get a special certificate acknowledging their arrival into this vast, remote landscape. This region is also popular for northern lights viewing and you will see 24 hours of daylight during the summer months.

The Inside Passage: This region of Alaska includes vast areas carved by glaciers, surrounded by towering mountains and pristine waters. Sitka spruce trees line the banks of the Inside Passage leaving a visitor in awe of the forest green colour juxtaposed with crystal blue waters. Kayaking and glacier trekking are popular activities in this region and this is where the vast majority of visitors to the state (via cruises) visit.

Anchorage: This is the hub of southcentral Alaska and opens visitors to abundant opportunities to observe wildlife, walk on a glacier or search for marine life, and many of these activities can be done in a day trip. From Anchorage, visitors can head south to Seward and Homer or north to the quirky town of Talkeetna and onto the Golden Heart City of Fairbanks.

Katmai National Park: This park is in the southwest region of Alaska and is perfect for visitors who have a naturalist adventure streak. Often visitors come to this region to spend the day observing large groups of brown bears fishing for salmon in the Brooks River and it is also a popular region for bird watching.
