August 2024 - This month we bring you two travel evening's!

Both very different, both equally exciting!

India

You cannot possibly visit India just once! India has a dozen faces, two dozen languages, three dozen religions, four dozen different cultures, and a hundred recipes to tempt your palate!

For the first timer – the ‘Golden Triangle’ – fly into Delhi, take the train to Agra (to see the Taj Mahal) and on to Jaipur, India’s Pink City - afterwards complete your first trip in the South on the beaches and backwaters of Kerala! Easy!

But – you will be so hooked, you’ll be back to take a closer look, a longer look.

Amritsar and its Sikh culture is fascinating.

Dawn on the river Ganga, watching the burial rituals by the river side.

Colourful Hindu temples abound, women selling garlands of flowers at the entrances.

Food! Nothing like an Indian takeaway, not at all. Freshly cooked street food, to 5-star restaurants serving all vegetarian or vegan dishes to full carnivore food feasts!

You can see tigers on safari at three of the country’s most remote and beautiful game parks, Pench, Kanha and Bandhavgarh. Stay in ethnic cottages amid the tranquil surrounding forests or travel to the Himalayas and breathe the air! Try some yoga and meditation. There, against the backdrop of the world's highest mountain range, you will find perspective.

From the dazzling colours of saris and spices to the pure white marble starkness of the Taj Mahal, let us show you the wonders of India.

USA

Come and join our USA at the Movies evening on 29 August 2024 ….at 6pm we will open a chilled California Chardonnay and present you with a whole array of holidays in America - from Heritage, to National Parks, exciting cities, music tours, Alaskan cruises and yes, even Disney!

A country of superlatives - deepest canyon, largest lake, tallest building and the lowest place below sea level!

What and where do you want to go in America? Come to our USA at The Movies night on Thursday 29 August 2024.

Our travel evenings are at the office and start at 6pm - hopefully we've finished by 7pm but if you have lots of questions, our evenings can run over. You don't have to book - if you are coming as we provide chilled wine and dine.
