New Zealand….Kia Ora from Dave and Mo

NEW ZEALAND KIA ORA

Kia Ora!

New Zealand/Ayres Rock

A small write up you said – after 7 of the most wonderful weeks of our lives, small is not easy. A different highlight every day, the most amazing and beautiful scenery and memories to last forever.
From the planning and now the photo sorting, it is a holiday that will be hard to beat. The beaches on the North Island, the art deco of Napier, the tropical rainforests, the Hobbit tour, the thermal geysers, the luxury of the hotel in Tongariro Park, whale watching in beautiful Kaikoura, the icebergs and yet another amazing hotel looking out on Mount Cook.If pushed to name just one highlight it would be the helicopter landing on top of Franz Joseph Glacier, or possibly the stargazing on one the clearest nights of the year at the Mt John Observatory, but if you asked me a few weeks ago it would have been the 24 hour cruise down Doubtful Sound with the crew that were so knowledgeable and friendly as were all the Kiwis we met along the way.
Stopping at Singapore en route was packed with exotic temples and food and more art deco in the form of the most spectacular hotel that we found by accident, Raffles (of course) and the hotel that we stayed in was perfect. The week we spent around Ayres Rock was magical and the amount of photos taken was pretty large.
After the snowy start, it was good to know that the Hallmark team were on hand to sort out a few problems with the delay.
